Apps & Integrations

Apps & Integrations is where you choose the software your company lets in: calendars, meeting links, files and tasks; the apps that dashboards and room chats connect to; the AI agents that work in your rooms through the Qik connector; and the extra tools your company's agent can use. Company owners and admins manage it.

Each kind of app has its own card with a switch per app, and the header shows how many are enabled across the page. For a tour of every app Qik Office connects to, see Integrations and All apps.

What you'll see

The cards appear in this order:

  • Me › My connected apps — your own connections: AI agents and apps you've allowed, calendars and file accounts.
  • Dashboards › Dashboard – App/API connectors — the apps and APIs dashboards can pull data from (when dashboards are on for your company).
  • Chats › Chat – App/API connectors — the apps and APIs that post updates, like GitHub pushes or new deals, into room chats.
  • Calendars, Meetings, Files and Tasks — calendar sync, meeting links, file attach and export, and task apps.
  • Developers › Third-party apps (Qik API) — one switch for the apps registered in Developer apps.
  • Connect Qik to agents › AI agents (MCP connectors) — one switch per AI agent.
  • Agent tools › Custom MCP connectors — outside MCP servers that give your company's agent extra tools.
  • Permissions › Who can connect apps.

How to switch an app on or off

  1. Open Company settings › Apps & Integrations.
  2. Find the app in its card. Long lists have Search apps, category filters and Show more apps.
  3. Use the switch on the app's tile.

Switching an app off stops new connections; accounts already connected keep working until they are removed. AI agents and connected apps stop at once. See Company integration settings for what each calendar, file and task switch does.

How to choose dashboard connectors

  1. In Dashboard – App/API connectors, switch off any app dashboards shouldn't connect to. Qik data and Qik tables are Always on.
  2. Under Other apps and APIs, choose:
    • Allowed — apps not on this list, and any other API, can still be connected: the agent builds the connector from the app's own docs.
    • Not allowed — only the apps switched on above can be connected.

Select Switch every app on to turn every app back on in one step.

How to choose chat apps

  1. In Chat – App/API connectors, use the switch in the card head to turn chat apps on or off for the whole company. Turning them off pauses connected apps in every room; nothing is deleted, and turning it back on resumes them.
  2. Switch individual apps on or off. Each tile shows how many rooms use it.
  3. Under Other apps and APIs, choose Allowed to let rooms connect any other app or API through the room agent, or Not allowed to keep rooms to the apps switched on.

Department chats and connections live in Company chats — select Company chats in the card head. See Company chats.

How to choose which AI agents can connect

The AI agents (MCP connectors) card lists Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, VS Code, Gemini CLI, Windsurf and Other MCP agents. Members connect these agents to Qik Office through the Qik connector, and the agents then work in their rooms.

  1. Find the agent in AI agents (MCP connectors).
  2. Use its switch. Turning an agent off stops new sign-ins and disconnects people already using it within a minute.
note

Other MCP agents covers any other AI agent that supports MCP. It isn't verified by Qik, so it starts off until an admin turns it on.

How to add a custom MCP connector

Your company can add up to 5 outside MCP servers (Streamable HTTP) as extra tools for its Qik agent.

  1. In Custom MCP connectors, select Add.
  2. In New connector, enter a Name, a Description and the MCP server URL.
  3. Under Authentication, add any headers or query parameters the server needs. Secret values are encrypted at rest and never shown again.
  4. Select Test connection. A successful test lists the server's Tools — uncheck any you want to hide from the agent.
  5. Select Create connector.

Each connector's tile shows its host, how many tools are on and its status (Working, Test failed or Not tested). Use its switch to turn it on or off, or the ⋯ menu to Test connection, Edit or Delete it.

caution

External tools run without the manual-approval flow, so switch off side-effecting tools you don't want the agent to call.

How to choose who can connect apps

  1. Under Permissions › Who can connect apps, choose:
    • Admins only — only owners and admins.
    • Admins & creators — owners, admins and creators.

This decides who can connect dashboard and chat app/API connectors in their rooms. Calendars, files and AI agents are each person's own account and follow the switches above.
