Reporting heads
Reporting heads sets up who reports to whom. A reporting head sees their reportees' tasks, schedules, meetings and boards — directly and through the people who report to them. Company owners and admins manage the reporting hierarchy; a reporting head sees their own team as My reportees.
How to add a reporting head
- Open Company settings › Reporting heads (or select Reporting heads under Members in the company dropdown).
- Select Add reporting head (or Add the first reporting head).
- Pick the person.
How to add reportees
- On the head's card, select Add.
- Pick the people who report to them.
Each card shows Direct reportees and, when a reportee has their own team, Indirect reportees grouped by the person they come through.
What you can do from a card
Open the ⋯ menu on a head's card for:
- Show in org chart
- Departments… — link the head to departments.
- Remove reporting head
The menu on a reportee's row offers View tasks, View schedules, View meetings and View boards, and Remove from this team.
How reporting heads see their team
If you are a reporting head, open the company dropdown and look under My team:
- Reportees — your direct and indirect reportees.
- Department — the departments you head.
Select the chart icon next to either to open My reporting org chart.
Org chart
Select Org chart to see the whole hierarchy. Use Zoom in, Zoom out, Fit to screen and Collapse all / Expand all, and drag to pan. Each person card links to their Schedules, Meetings, Tasks and Boards.
Reporting heads can also set goals for their reportees — see Company goals — and policies can be linked to a head so everyone under them follows it — see Company policies.
