Make a room shareable or private
A room's link and QR code can let outside people in as guests, or let nobody in who hasn't been added. The room owner chooses.
How to change who can join by link
- Open the room and select ⋯ › Room settings.
- Select Restrictions in the left menu.
- Under Sharing › Joining by link, choose:
- Shareable — people with the room link can join as guests.
- Private — only people added to the room can open it. The room link and QR code won't let anyone else in.

For a shareable room, choose how guests arrive in Room settings › Meeting › Guests › Arriving: Straight in or Waiting room.
