Kinds of agentic rooms
Every room in Qik Office is an agentic room with its own agent, apps and history. The kind of room decides who is in it, where it lives and which screen it opens on. Any company member can create rooms; owners can switch a room between Room and Project at any time.
| Kind | What it is for | Where to find it |
|---|---|---|
| Room | A team, client, department or recurring topic. Opens on its meeting and apps. | Inside a workspace in Office |
| Project | Delivering work on Milestones or Sprints, always run by the AI Project Manager. | Inside a workspace in Office |
| One-on-one | A room for exactly two people. | 1:1 in the left rail |
| Private room | Your own room in each company, with your personal agent. | Top of the Office list |
| Instant room | A room you start right away and save to a workspace later. | Instant rooms in Office |
| Breakout room | A sub-room of a room for a smaller group. | Inside its parent room |
Room or project
A room meets; a project delivers. Both have the same apps. A project room opens on its board, puts Milestones or Sprints in the dock, and its agent role is fixed to AI Project Manager.
How to switch between Room and Project
- Open the room and select ⋯ › Room type (or Room settings › Room › Room type).
- Choose Room or Project. For a project, choose how it runs: Milestones or Sprints.
Nothing is deleted either way — every task, board and message stays. What changes is the screen the room opens on, the apps in its dock, and what its boards are called. Only the room owner can change the room type.
One-on-one, private and instant rooms
- One-on-one room — created from 1:1 by entering the other person's email or showing a QR code.
- Private room — visible only to you; its agent is your personal agent.
- Instant room — created in one select, then saved to a workspace with Save room.
Breakout rooms
A breakout room splits some of a room's users into a sub-room with its own chat, tasks, notes, files and meetings. See Breakout rooms.
