What is the difference between AI dashboards and Chat apps?

AI dashboards read an app’s data and draw live charts on a page in the room. Chat apps bring an app’s events, such as a merged pull request or a failed payment, into the room’s chat as cards the team can act on. Many apps do both.

Do I need a developer to connect an app?

No. Ask the AI project manager in any agentic room. It prepares the connection, shows a guided sign-in card, lets you pick your own projects or accounts from a list and tests everything on real data.

Does Qik change anything in my apps?

Qik reads from your apps and leaves their data as it is. The only thing a chat app adds is the webhook its own connection needs, which Qik removes when you delete the app.

Can admins control which apps are used?

Yes. Company admins switch any app off for the whole office, allow listed apps only or allow any API, and publish company connections that rooms reuse. Every member can mute an app’s chat posts for themselves.
