Every department in your company gets its own workspace
A department is a team in your company — and its own workspace. Name it, add its heads and employees, and Qik Office creates the workspace with it: heads become its admins, employees become its members, and every agentic room the department opens lives inside it.
New department
A department is a team in your company — and its own workspace.
Workspace
A workspace called Ma will be created. Heads become its admins, employees become members, and every room the department opens lives inside it.

The agent builds and reads your departments
From your private command center, the AI agent acts across the whole company office for owners and admins. Every company-wide change is proposed as a card and waits for your confirmation.
- 01
Creates a department on request
Ask for a Finance department with its heads and employees and the agent proposes it with the real create form inside the card, ready for you to confirm.
- 02
Rooms for a whole department
Ask for a room with everyone in HR and the agent finds the department, collects its heads and members, and proposes the room with all of them in it.
- 03
Sets up the office in one go
Say “build my office” and the agent proposes a tree of department workspaces, each with its own agentic rooms, to create together.
The org chart and the office, built as one
Departments live in company settings beside reporting heads and designations. Each one carries its people, its workspace and its rooms on a single card.
A workspace with every department
Create a department and a workspace with its name is created alongside it. Heads become its admins, employees its members, and the department’s rooms live inside it.
Or connect one you already run
Pick a workspace you own and it becomes the department’s, renamed to match. Everyone already in it stays; department members are added alongside them.
Heads and employees
Add people with one button, then set each person’s part from their menu — department head or employee. A department head can also be made a reporting head in one step.
A department announcements room
Switch on announcements for a department and its workspace gets an announcements room everyone in the department can read. Enable every department at once from Company announcements.
Membership kept in sync
The department card counts any differences between the department and its workspace — people missing, extra or in the wrong role — and Resync members lines them up again.
Departments on the org chart
The org chart has a Departments view showing each department with its heads. Click a department to go straight to its workspace.
Set up a department once, pick it everywhere
The department you create in company settings is the same one you choose when you post to a team, link a policy, hand down a goal or route a workflow step.
Announcements
Each department’s announcements room sits in its workspace, readable by everyone in the department.
Policies
Link a policy to a department and everyone in it sees the policy — and so do the AI agents working for them.
Goals
Pick a department in the goal form and the same goal is written onto each person in it.
Workflows
A workflow step can go to “a department head” for a department you name, so it reaches whoever heads that department when the step starts.

Enable allFrom a new department to a working team
One dialog sets up the team, its workspace and the people in it. Everything the department does next happens inside that workspace.
Create the department
Name it, choose Create new or Connect existing for its workspace, and pick its heads and employees.
Its workspace fills with people
Heads join as admins and employees as members, ready for the agentic rooms the department opens.
Switch on its announcements
The department gets its own announcements room, readable by everyone in it.
Requests reach its head
Workflow steps that name a department head land with whoever heads it, as an approval they can act on.
Who runs on Departments
An office that mirrors the org
Sales, Engineering, HR and Finance each get a workspace of their own, so every room has an obvious home and every team has its own space.
A space they administer
Heads are admins of their department’s workspace, so the rooms their team works in are theirs to run — with an announcements room to reach everyone in the team.
The whole structure in one conversation
Ask the agent to build your office and review the proposed department workspaces and rooms before anything is created.
One company, one office, one shared state
Departments, answered
Each department is meant to have one. Create a new workspace or connect one you own; a department without one shows both options on its card until it is set up.
The workspace and everything in it are kept. Only the department goes.
If the department’s workspace has rooms, you choose: keep their access to those rooms, or remove them from all of them. Either way they leave the department.
They are different jobs. A department head administers the department and its workspace; a reporting head is who people report to. A department head can also be made a reporting head from their menu in one step.
Company owners and admins create, rename, staff and delete departments. Everyone else sees My departments — the departments they belong to.
