Audio logs

Audio logs turn a spoken status update into something the whole room can read. Record a short clip, and the room's AI project manager transcribes it, writes an AI Summary, lists the Action Items with the person responsible when one is named, and keeps the recording beside both. Everyone in the room — Owners, Editors, Users and Guests — can open Audio logs from the Room Apps picker under the Meetings band.

How to log an update

  1. Open the Room Apps picker and select Audio logs.
  2. Select Log update. After a short countdown (Get ready for recording an update), start speaking.
  3. Stop the recording and play it back if you like.
  4. Type into Add a message (optional)... and select Send Update.

The update shows Processing update... while it is transcribed and summarised, then appears with its summary and action items.

tip

You can also log an update from the room's chat. Either way the update is saved to Audio logs and shown in the conversation as a card.

How to read an update

  1. Open an update card.
  2. Switch between AI Summary and Transcript to read the summary or every word that was said.
  3. Play the original recording from the card when you want to hear it.

Audio logs use the same transcription engine as meeting recordings, which detects the spoken language of each clip.

How to turn action items into tasks

  1. Open an update and find its Action Items.
  2. Select Convert to to-do beside an item.

The item becomes a task in the room, and the card then shows the live task in its place.

How to request an update from someone

  1. In Audio logs, select Request.
  2. In Request Update, select Request beside the member you need to hear from.
  3. Members already asked show as Requested. Select Re-request Update if an update is overdue.

The person asked sees that they have been requested to provide an update, with a Log update button that records straight into the room.

How to discuss an update

Select Chat on an update card to open its own thread, separate from the room chat.
