Every file the room needs, in the room
Uploads, chat attachments and Drive files sit together in one room library — foldered, password-protected where they need to be, and open to the room’s AI project manager, which can summarise a document straight into a note.

File summary
Northwind MSA v3.pdf
- 24-month term, renews automatically unless notice is given 60 days ahead.
- Net-45 payment terms; late fees capped at 1.5% a month.
- Either side may terminate for breach with 30 days to cure.
The agent reads what the room has collected
A file in a room is persistent shared state, not an attachment lost in a thread. The AI project manager works from the same library the team does.
- 01
Summarises a file on request
Ask for the gist of a contract or a spec and the agent returns a file summary card, written from the document itself.
- 02
Turns the summary into a note or page
One click converts that summary into a note or a page in the room, headed with the file name, so the reading becomes a working document.
- 03
Keeps the work attached to the file
Request an approval or set a reminder from the file itself, so the follow-up lives in the room’s Approvals and Reminders, pointing back at the document.
A shared library, not a pile of attachments
Files is the room’s record of everything it has been sent, made or signed — organised once and reachable from every other app in the room.
Drag, drop, upload
Drop files onto the room or upload several at once; the room checks its storage before an upload starts, not halfway through.
Folders and order
Add folders, move files between them with a breadcrumb back to the top, and let the room owner drag files and folders into the order the team expects.
Password protection
The room owner can set, reset or remove a password on a sensitive file or folder; it shows as locked until someone enters the password.
Google Drive and OneDrive
Attach files from a connected Google Drive or OneDrive account without re-uploading them — and your company can switch either source off.
Forward, move, download
Select several files and forward them to another room, move them into a folder or download them in one go.
Chat on files
Every file and folder can carry its own conversation, and a fresh upload can be posted straight into the room chat.
A file is where the work starts, not where it ends
Each file has the same actions the rest of the room uses, so a document can start an approval, a reminder or a note without leaving Files.
Request approval
Send the file for sign-off; the request goes to the room’s Approvals app with the file attached.
Set a reminder
Put a renewal date or review deadline on the file itself, delivered through the room’s Reminders.
Summarise with the agent
Get a summary card from the AI project manager and convert it to a note or page in one click.
Protect what is sensitive
The room owner can password-protect a single file or a whole folder; the rest of the library stays open to the room.

One document, through the whole room
Files does not hand work off to another tool. It hands it to the next app in the same agentic room.
It arrives
Someone shares a file in the room chat, or uploads it straight into a folder.
It is filed
The file sits in the room library, in its folder and password-protected if it needs to be.
It is understood
The agent summarises it and the summary becomes a note or page the team can edit.
It is signed off
An approval request carries the file to the people who have to say yes.
Who runs on Files
Contracts with a lock and a deadline
Keep agreements in a password-protected folder, set a reminder on the renewal date and send the final draft for approval from the file itself.
One library per client
Briefs, decks and deliverables for a client live in that client’s room, so whoever joins the account finds every version in one place.
Policies people can actually find
Organise SOPs into folders, attach the latest copies from Drive or OneDrive, and let the agent summarise a long policy into a page.
Files, answered
Anything uploaded into Files, attachments shared in the room chat, and files attached from a connected Google Drive or OneDrive account all sit in the room’s library.
Yes. The room owner can password-protect a file or a folder. It stays visible in the library as locked, and opens only for someone who enters the password.
Storage in an agentic room uses storage credits: 20 agent credits for every 20 MB stored. The room checks its storage before each upload, so an upload that would not fit is stopped before it starts.
The agent can summarise a file in the room and return a summary card, which you can convert into a note or a page. It works inside the room’s permissions like any other member.
Yes. Each Drive source is an integration your company can block; when it is blocked, the option to attach from it does not appear in Files.
