How AI minutes are generated
AI minutes come from conversational intelligence. It converts what was said in a meeting into structured artifacts and actions. The room Owner controls each step in the room's AI meeting assistant settings, or per meeting in Meeting options.
The steps
- Record: the meeting is recorded online in the room, on a device at an in-person meeting, or by the bot in a Google Meet, Zoom or Microsoft Teams call. You can also upload a recording.
- Transcribe: with AI transcribe on, speech becomes a transcript labelled by speaker, in the room's language. At in-person meetings, only the people marked as attending are transcribed and named.
- Write the minutes: with AI minutes on, the agent reads the transcript and writes each section of the room's minutes template. Names are matched to room users.
- Assign tasks: with Assign tasks on, action items become tasks with owners and due dates. See Action items and tasks.
- Email: with Email minutes on, the minutes are sent to all attendees.
While the agent works, the meeting shows Transcription & AI minutes in progress or AI minutes in progress.
Generate minutes on demand
If a recorded meeting has no minutes yet, the room Owner can select Generate (Generate minutes from transcripts) on the meeting.
note
If your agent credits run out, the meeting shows Insufficient Agent credits. The room owner can select Retry once credits are available, or Get Credits. Other roles see The room owner needs to process this meeting first. See Agent credits.
