App integrations for AI dashboards

AI dashboards read live data from the apps your company runs on. Pick an app, sign in once, and the room agent builds the connector, tests it and suggests the first charts. Qik keeps 44 ready connectors for popular apps, plus your own Qik data and tables, and the agent can connect any other API from its docs.

Every connector only reads. Qik never writes back to an app.

How to connect an app to a dashboard

  1. Open the dashboard and select Data in the editor rail, then Add data.
  2. Choose a source:
    • Qik data — tasks, meetings, schedules and sprints, in one click.
    • A table or form — any table or form in this room.
    • A file — the agent turns a CSV or Excel file into a table.
    • Any API — name it or paste its docs link.
    • Apps — search the ready connectors by name or category.
  3. Pick the app. The room agent starts with the app's ready plan: sign-in, test, then first chart suggestions.
  4. On the sign-in card, follow the steps and choose Who can use this sign-in (see below), then select Test connection.
  5. Review the charts the agent suggests, and keep the ones you want.

How you sign in

Each app signs in the way its own docs recommend. The sign-in card explains why Qik needs access, lists the steps with a link to the right page in the app, names the smallest read permission to give, and checks the key as you type.

Sign-inHow it works
Sign in with the app (one-click)Select Continue with <App> and allow access on the app's own consent screen. Qik renews the sign-in for you.
API key or access tokenCreate a read-only key in the app and paste it into the card.
Key and accountA key plus your account details, such as your shop, site or data centre.
App credentialsA client ID and secret from an app you create in the provider's developer settings.
Service accountDrop in the service account's JSON file (Google apps).
Your Qik sign-inQik data uses your own Qik account.

When an app offers one-click sign-in but your company has not set it up yet, the card offers the app's key method instead, and shows admins the steps to switch on one-click sign-in through the company's own app in Company settings › Company dashboards.

tip

If you don't have access to the app yourself, select Ask someone on the sign-in card to ask a colleague who does.

Personal and shared data

Choose Who can use this sign-in when you connect:

ChoiceWhat others see
Only meYour personal data. Each person connects their own account; others see Connect to see this until they do. Charts on personal data carry a Your data mark.
Everyone in this roomEveryone in the room sees the same numbers, read with the room's key.
The whole companyA company key, managed by dashboard admins.

Personal data stays personal unless its owner chooses Share this data with the room, after a confirmation that names them. Shared charts show their source and who shared it.

Company connectors

Dashboard admins can build a connector once and publish it to the whole company, or to the departments and rooms they choose. Rooms stay linked to the company connector, so every tested update reaches them all. Manage them in Company settings › Company dashboards › Company connectors, along with:

  • Apps you can connect — switch apps on or off for the whole company, and set up one-click sign-in through your company's own app.
  • Any other app or API — add a service by name and its API docs link; the agent drafts how to sign in and what data it can read, and it joins your list of apps.
  • Connector rules — Who creates connectors (room owners and editors, room owners, or dashboard admins), Which APIs (any API, listed apps only, or company connectors only), Room API keys, and Share personal data with a room.

Any API

Choose Any API in Add data and name the service or paste its docs link. The agent reads the official docs, writes the connector, and tests it before it is kept. Keys only go to the hosts the connector was made for, and stay sealed in Qik's vault — never shown to the agent.

Ready connectors

Qik's connectors are written from each app's current official docs. When a connector's docs check is more than 30 days old, or a test fails, the agent reads the app's docs again before connecting.
