Agent roles

The agent role decides how a room's agent works the room. Switch it and the agent changes how it plans, executes and reports, while all of the room's work stays where it is. The room Owner chooses the role; project rooms are always run by the AI Project Manager.

RoleWhat it does
AI AssistantYour day-to-day operator. Schedules and reschedules meetings, manages tasks and notes, and sends follow-ups whenever you ask.
AI Project ManagerPlans and drives projects. Breaks work into tasks, tracks progress, and keeps owners and timelines on track. This is the default for new rooms.
AI ExecutiveA high-level lens on your workspace. Surfaces priorities, summarises activity, and helps you decide what matters next.

How to choose the role when creating a room

  1. In the new-room dialog, select the agent role pill below New room / New project.
  2. Choose AI Assistant, AI Project Manager or AI Executive.

For New project, the pill is fixed to AI Project Manager.

How to change the role of an existing room

  1. Open the room and select the role pill in the agent prompt bar, or select ⋯ › Agent settings, or open Room settings › Agent.
  2. Under Agent role, choose the role. The selected role shows Selected (or Active).

The change reaches every device in the room straight away.

note

Only the room owner can change the agent role. The Agent section of room settings appears for owners in company rooms.
