Automation runs

Every custom automation keeps a record of its runs, so you always know what the room did on its own. Anyone in the room can see an automation's runs; its creator and the room owner can act on them.

How to see recent runs

  1. Open the room's Automations.
  2. Select an automation's card to expand it.
  3. Under Recent runs, each run reads Ran, Skipped, Failed or Running.
  4. Select a run to see it step by step, with links such as Open the agent run or Open the chat.

For a longer record, open the ⋯ menu and select What it has done.

Status at a glance

  • Live — set and waiting for its trigger. The card shows when it runs next, for example Next tomorrow at 09:00, or Waiting for its trigger.
  • Paused — switched off by you.
  • Switched off — switched off after a failure.
  • Draft — built, but not set.
  • Needs rebuilding — ask the agent to rebuild it.

Why a run is skipped

A run is skipped, at no cost, when the room already does this, it was already done, there was nothing to act on, it is out of credits, or it hit its daily limit.

How to run or follow an automation

  • Select Run it now to run it straight away.
  • Select Tell me when it runs in the ⋯ menu to be notified on each run.

After a failure

A failed run switches the automation off and shows the reason on its card. Fix the cause — or select Change it and tell the agent — then switch it back on.

note

An automation stops when its creator leaves the room, and it does not run in archived or deleted rooms.
