Introduction - Reporting head

The reporting head feature in Qik Office enables organizations to define reporting hierarchies and gain structured visibility into how work is planned and executed across teams. By mapping who reports to whom, managers can understand schedules and task ownership—without relying on manual updates or status meetings.

Objectives

The reporting dead feature is designed to:

  • Establish clear reporting relationships within the organization.
  • Provide company-level visibility into schedules and task planning.
  • Improve accountability and ownership across teams.
  • Reduce dependency on follow-ups and coordination calls.
  • Encourage disciplined usage of Qik Office as the primary system of work.

How reporting head works

Reporting head are configured by assigning a reporting head to one or more users.

Once assigned:

  • The selected user becomes the reporting head.
  • The assigned users become direct reportees.
  • Reporting can be multi-level, reflecting real organizational structures.

Qik.Office supports organizational reporting where users are assigned to reporting heads. A reporting head is responsible for overviewing the work of their reporting employees.

This creates a structured hierarchy such as:

  • Reporting head → Manager or team lead
  • Reporting employee → Developer, designer, executive, or team ,ember

This hierarchy enables task visibility and assignment authority. The reporting head can access the to-do calendar of their reportees which displays all tasks in a calendar-based timeline view.

The reporting head can view:

  • Task title
  • Task description
  • Assigned employee
  • Task start date
  • Task due date
  • Scheduled time slot
  • Pending tasks
  • Completed tasks
  • Free time slots

Visibility for reporting heads

Reporting heads have access to company-level visibility into both schedules and task execution for their direct and indirect reportees.

They are able to view:

  • Company-level schedules of reportees
  • Meetings scheduled within company rooms
  • Calendar views that show how workdays are planned
  • To-dos created and managed within Qik Office
  • Pending, completed, and overdue tasks
